Sec. 107. Data collection and analysis grants to minority-serving institutions

The Secretary of Health and Human Services, acting through the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities and the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Minority Health, shall award grants to access and analyze racial and ethnic, and where possible other health disparity data, to monitor and report on progress to reduce and eliminate disparities in health and health care. In this section, the term eligible entity means a historically Black college or university, a Hispanic-serving institution, a Tribal college or university, or an Asian American, Native American, or Pacific Islander-serving institution with an accredited public health, health policy, or health services research program.
To carry out this section, there are authorized to be appropriated such sums as may be necessary for fiscal years 2019 through 2024.
