Section 276(b) of the Immigration and Nationality Act ( 8 U.S.C. 1326(b) ) is amended— in paragraph (3), by striking or at the end; in paragraph (4), by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon; and by inserting after paragraph
(4)the following: who, subsequent to removal and unlawful reentry, is determined by a criminal court of competent jurisdiction to have committed an act that resulted in injury to another person or persons, shall be fined under title 18, United States Code, and imprisoned for not less than 10 years and not more than 20 years; or who, subsequent to removal and unlawful reentry, is determined by a criminal court of competent jurisdiction to have committed an act that resulted in the death of another person or persons, shall be fined under title 18, United States Code, and imprisoned for not less than 20 years and not more than 40 years. .
