The Secretary of Defense shall ensure that, as part of the transition counseling provided by the Department of Defense to members of the Armed Forces who are in the process of separating from the Armed Forces (including the reserve components), information is provided to such members on— the potential benefits of apprenticeship programs; the appropriate use of veterans’ education benefits to pay for apprenticeship programs, and the availability of veteran-focused, nonprofit apprenticeship programs.
