Sec. 1614. Plan to provide persistent weather imagery for United States Central Command

The Secretary of the Air Force shall develop a plan to provide the United States Central Command with persistent weather imagery for the area of operations of the Command beginning not later than January 1, 2026. The plan developed under subsection
(a)shall include the following: A long-term method for providing the United States Central Command with persistent weather imagery for the area of operations of the Command that— does not rely on data provided by a foreign government; and does not include relocating legacy geostationary operational environmental satellites. A description of the costs required to carry out the plan. Not later than March 1, 2019, the Secretary shall submit to the congressional defense committees the plan developed under subsection (a).
