Sec. 1293. Report on threats by the Muslim Brotherhood

It is the sense of Congress that the Muslim Brotherhood is a threat to the United States. Not later than one year after the date of the enactment of this Act, the President and the Secretary of Defense, in coordination with the Secretary of State, shall submit to the appropriate congressional committees a report that contains an assessment of the threats posed to the United States by the Muslim Brotherhood. The report required under paragraph
(1)shall include the following: A description of the origins of the Muslim Brotherhood. A description of the strategic aims of the Muslim Brotherhood. A description of the tactical methods of the Muslim Brotherhood. A description of the funding sources of the Muslim Brotherhood. A description of the leadership structures of the Muslim Brotherhood. Any other matters the President and Secretary of Defense consider appropriate. The required under paragraph
(1)shall be submitted in unclassified form, but may include a classified annex. In this section, the term appropriate congressional committees means— the Committee on Armed Services, the Committee on Foreign Relations, the Committee on Appropriations, and the Select Committee on Intelligence of the Senate; and the Committee on Armed Services, the Committee on Foreign Affairs, the Committee on Appropriations, and the Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence of the House of Representatives.
