Sec. 1257. Name of United States Indo-Pacific Command

The combatant command known as the United States Pacific Command shall, beginning on January 1, 2020, be known as the United States Indo-Pacific Command . Any reference to such combatant command in any law, regulation, map, document, record, or other paper of the United States shall be considered to be a reference to the United States Indo-Pacific Command. Section 10504 of title 10, United States Code, as amended by section 1071(a)(31), is further amended in subsection (c), as redesignated by such section, in paragraph (3)(H) by striking United States Pacific Command and inserting United States Indo-Pacific Command .
Section 843(4) of the Carl Levin and Howard P. Buck McKeon National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2015 ( Public Law 113–291 ; 10 U.S.C. 2302 note) is amended by striking United States Pacific Command and inserting United States Indo-Pacific Command .
