Section 3505 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017 ( Public Law 114–328 ; 130 Stat. 2776), as amended by section 3503 of this Act, is further amended by adding at the end the following: Nothing in this section may be construed to prohibit the entity responsible for contracting from entering into a multiple-year or block contract for the procurement of up to 6 new vessels and associated Government-furnished equipment, subject to the availability of appropriations. .
