Sec. 575. Report on awards for cost-saving ideas

Not later than 1 year after the date of enactment of this Act, Secretary of Defense shall submit to Congress a report detailing— the total number of awards and commendations presented to any military personnel for a cost-saving idea during the prior fiscal year; a total estimate of the total savings as a result of the implementation of cost-saving ideas for which an award or commendation was presented; and a description of how the Secretary plans to expand incentive programs for the purpose described in this section and streamline such programs.
