Section 11304 of title 46, United States Code, is amended— in subsection (a), by striking an official logbook, which and inserting a logbook, which may be in any form, including electronic, and ; and in subsection (b), by amending paragraph
(3)to read as follows: Each illness of, and injury to, a seaman of the vessel, the nature of the illness or injury, and the medical treatment provided for the injury or illness. . Section 11304(b) is amended by striking log book and inserting logbook .
