Section 2113 of title 46, United States Code, is amended— by adding and after the semicolon at the end of paragraph (3); and by striking paragraphs

(4)and

(5)and inserting the following: maintain different structural fire protection, manning, operating, and equipment requirements for vessels that satisfied requirements set forth in the Passenger Vessel Safety Act of 1993 ( Public Law 103–206 ) before June 21, 1994. . Section 3306(i) of title 46, United States Code, is amended by striking section 2113(5) and inserting section 2113(4) .
