Not later than February 1, 2019, the Secretary of the Air Force shall submit to the congressional defense committees a report on the OA–X light attack aircraft experiment and how the program incorporates partner nation requirements. The report under subsection
(a)shall include a description of— how the OA–X light attack experiment will support partner nations’ low-cost counter terrorism light attack capability; the extent to which the attributes of affordability, interoperability, sustainability, simplicity of maintenance and operations are included in the requirements for the OA–X; and how Federal Aviation Administration certification and a reasonable path for military type certifications for commercial derivative aircraft are factored into foreign military sales for a partner nation.
