It is the sense of Congress that the Secretary of Defense should seek opportunities to increase defense coordination and cooperation with United States partners with respect to missile defense. Section 1292(a)(1) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017 ( Public Law 114–328 ; 130 Stat. 2559; 22 U.S.C. 2751 note), as amended by section 1258(a) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2018 ( Public Law 115–91 ; 131 Stat. 1683), is further amended— in subparagraph (K), by striking and at the end; in subparagraph (L), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following new subparagraph: develop closer defense cooperation with India on matters relating to missile defense. .
