Section 547 of the Public Health Service Act ( 42 U.S.C. 290ee–2 ) is amended— by striking subsection (c); by redesignating subsections
(d)as subsection (c); in subsection
(c)(as so redesignated)— in paragraph (1), by striking and at the end; in paragraph (2)(C)(iv), by striking the period and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following: may be used as provided for in subsection (d). ; by inserting after subsection
(c)(as so redesignated), the following: Grants awarded under subsection
(b)may be used to provide for the establishment of regional technical assistance centers to provide regional technical assistance for the following: Implementation of regionally driven peer delivered addiction recovery support services before, during, after, or in lieu of addiction treatment. Establishment of recovery community organizations. Establishment of recovery community centers. Naloxone training and dissemination. To be eligible to receive a grant under paragraph (1), an entity shall be— a national nonprofit entity with a network of local affiliates and partners that are geographically and organizationally diverse; or a national nonprofit organization established by individuals in personal and family recovery, serving prevention, treatment, recovery, payor, faith-based, and criminal justice stakeholders in the implementation of local addiction and recovery initiatives. ; and in subsection (e), by inserting before the period the following: , and $200,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2019 through 2023 .
