Not later than 60 days after the date of enactment of this Act, the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration shall submit to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation of the Senate a detailed analysis of any actions taken to address the findings and recommendations included in the report required under section 812(d) of the FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012 ( 49 U.S.C. 106 note), including— consolidating, phasing-out, or eliminating duplicative positions, programs, roles, or offices; eliminating or streamlining wasteful practices; eliminating or phasing-out redundant, obsolete, or unnecessary functions; reforming and streamlining inefficient processes so that the activities of the Administration are completed in an expedited and efficient manner; and reforming or eliminating ineffectual or outdated policies.
Not later than 18 months after the date of enactment of this Act, the Administrator shall undertake and complete a thorough review of each program, office, and organization within the Administration to identify— duplicative positions, programs, roles, or offices; wasteful practices; redundant, obsolete, or unnecessary functions; inefficient processes; and ineffectual or outdated policies. Not later than 60 days after the date of completion of the review under subsection (b), the Administrator shall undertake such actions as may be necessary to address the findings of the Administrator under such subsection.
Not later than 120 days after the date of completion of the review under subsection (b), the Administrator shall submit to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation of the Senate a report on the actions taken by the Administrator pursuant to subsection (c), including any recommendations for legislative or administrative actions.
