Unless authorized by the Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration, a person may not operate an unmanned aircraft or unmanned aircraft system that is equipped or armed with a dangerous weapon. In this section, the term dangerous weapon has the meaning given that term in section 930(g)(2) of title 18, United States Code. A person who violates this section is liable to the United States Government for a civil penalty of not more than $25,000 for each violation.
