In this title: The term appropriate congressional committee has the meaning given the term in section 2(2) of the Homeland Security Act of 2002 ( 6 U.S.C. 101(2) ). The term Commissioner means the Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection. The term high traffic areas has the meaning given the term in section 102(e)(1) of the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996, as amended by section 102 of this Act. The term Secretary means the Secretary of Homeland Security. The term situational awareness has the meaning given the term in section 1092(a)(7) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017 ( Public Law 114–328 ; 6 U.S.C. 223(a)(7) ).
