In this title: The term act of international terrorism has the meaning given that term in section 14 of the Iran Sanctions Act of 1996 ( Public Law 104–172 ; 50 U.S.C. 1701 note). The term appropriate congressional committees has the meaning given that term in section 14 of the Iran Sanctions Act of 1996 ( Public Law 104–172 ; 50 U.S.C. 1701 note). The term foreign person means a person that is not a United States person. The term Iranian person means— an individual who is a citizen or national of Iran; or an entity organized under the laws of Iran or otherwise subject to the jurisdiction of the Government of Iran.
The term IRGC means Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The term knowingly has the meaning given that term in section 14 of the Iran Sanctions Act of 1996 ( Public Law 104–172 ; 50 U.S.C. 1701 note). The term United States person means— a United States citizen or an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence to the United States; or an entity organized under the laws of the United States or of any jurisdiction within the United States, including a foreign branch of such an entity.
