Section 2 of the National Security Agency Act of 1959 ( Public Law 86–36 ; 50 U.S.C. 3602 ) is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection: There is a General Counsel of the National Security Agency. The General Counsel of the National Security Agency shall be appointed by the President, by and with the advice and consent of the Senate. . Subsection
(c)of section 2 of the National Security Agency Act of 1959 ( Public Law 86–36 ; 50 U.S.C. 3602 ) shall apply with respect to any person who is appointed to serve as General Counsel of the National Security Agency on or after January 21, 2021.
