Paragraph
(2)of section 9(c) of the United States Housing Act of 1937 ( 42 U.S.C. 1437g(c)(2) ) is amended to read as follows: There is authorized to be appropriated for assistance under this section for public housing agencies the following amounts: For each of fiscal years 2018 through 2027, for allocations of assistance from the Capital Fund— such sums as may be necessary to fully fund for each such year the estimated need of public housing agencies for assistance from such Fund; and $5,000,000,000 for each such year for addressing backlogged need for assistance from such Fund. For each of fiscal years 2018 through 2027, for allocations of assistance from the Operating Fund, such sums as may be necessary to fully fund for each such year the estimated need of public housing agencies for assistance from such Fund. .
