Section 191 ( 42 U.S.C. 12651 ) is amended— by striking a Corporation for National and Community Service and inserting the National and Community Service Administration, an independent executive agency ; and by striking The Corporation shall be a Government corporation, as defined in section 103 and inserting The Administration shall have the same status as an executive department listed in section 101 . Section 101 ( 42 U.S.C. 12511 ) is amended by striking paragraph
(12)and inserting the following: The term Administration means the National and Community Service Administration established under section 191. . The National and Community Service Act of 1990 is amended by striking Corporation each place it appears and inserting Administration . Section 421 of the Domestic Volunteer Service Act of 1973 is amended by striking paragraph
(7)and inserting the following: the term Administration means the National and Community Service Administration established under section 191 of the National and Community Service Act of 1990; . The Domestic Volunteer Service Act of 1973 is amended— in section 2(b), by striking Corporation for National and Community Service and inserting National and Community Service Administration ; and by striking Corporation each place it appears and inserting Administration .
