Sec. 570. Study on airport credit assistance

The Secretary of Transportation shall conduct a review to determine whether a Federal credit assistance program would be beneficial and feasible for airport-related projects as defined in section 40117(a) of title 49, United States Code. In carrying out the review under paragraph (1), the Secretary may consider— expanding eligibility under an existing Federal credit assistance program to include such projects; and establishing a new credit assistance program for such projects.
Not later than 270 days after the date of enactment of this section, the Secretary shall submit to the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure of the House of Representatives, the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation of the Senate, and the Committee on the Environment and Public Works of the Senate a report on the results of the review carried out under subsection (a). The report shall include a description of— the benefits and other effects; potential projects; the budgetary impacts, including an estimate of— the average annual loan volume; the average subsidy rate; and any loss of Federal revenue; impacts on existing programs; the administrative costs; and any personnel changes.
