Not later than 120 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Administrator of the Transportation Security Administration shall submit to the Committee on Homeland Security of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation of the Senate a report on the Transportation Security Administration’s law enforcement officer reimbursement program, which shall include information relating to the following: The current structure of the program, including how funding disbursement decisions are made.
An assessment of threats requiring law enforcement officer response at airports. The scope of current law enforcement activities covered under the program, and an assessment of whether such covered activities should be expanded to reflect emerging threats. The annual costs to airport authorities for providing law enforcement for such covered activities at security checkpoints. Proposed methodology for funding allocations.
