Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Commandant of the Coast Guard shall notify the Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation of the Senate on the status of the implementation of the survey and classification requirements referred to in section 4503 of title 46, United States Code. The analysis required under subsection
(a)shall include information on— the average costs to vessel owners to comply with such section; and the impact such section is having on commercial fishing vessel safety.
