Sec. 1063. Protection of Second Amendment Rights of Military Families

This section may be cited as the Protect Our Military Families’ 2nd Amendment Rights Act . Section 921(b) of title 18, United States Code, is amended to read as follows: For purposes of this chapter: A member of the Armed Forces on active duty and the spouse of such a member are residents of the State in which the permanent duty station of the member is located. The spouse of such a member may satisfy the identification document requirements of this chapter by presenting— the military identification card issued to the spouse; and the official Permanent Change of Station Orders annotating the spouse as being authorized for collocation, or an official letter from the commanding officer of the member verifying that the member and the spouse are collocated at the permanent duty station of the member. .
The amendment made by subsection
(b)shall apply to conduct engaged in after the 6-month period that begins with the date of the enactment of this Act.
