Sec. 1002. Preparation of consolidated corrective action plan and implementation of centralized reporting system

In accordance with the recommendations included in the Government Accountability Office report numbered GAO-17-85 and entitled DOD Financial Management: Significant Efforts Still Needed for Remediating Audit Readiness Deficiencies , the Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller) of the Department of Defense shall— on a bimonthly basis, prepare a consolidated corrective action plan management summary on the status of all corrective actions plans related to critical capabilities for the military services and for the service providers and other defense organizations; and develop and implement a centralized monitoring and reporting process that captures and maintains up-to-date information, including the standard data elements recommended in the implementation guide for Office of Management and Budget Circular A-123, for all corrective action plans and findings and recommendations Department-wide that pertain to critical capabilities.
Subsection
(a)shall take effect on October 1, 2017.
