No amounts authorized to be appropriated by this Act or otherwise made available to the Department of Defense for fiscal year 2018 may be made available to conduct military operations in Yemen. Nothing in this section shall be construed to prohibit the following: Activities carried out in full compliance with the Authorization for Use of Military Force ( Public Law 107–40 ; 50 U.S.C. 1541 note). The provision of humanitarian assistance. The defense of United States Armed Forces. Support for freedom of navigation operations.
