Subsection
(a)of section 1233 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2008 ( Public Law 110–181 ; 122 Stat. 393), as most recently amended by section 1218 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017 ( Public Law 114–328 ), is amended by striking December 31, 2017 and inserting December 31, 2018 . Subsection (d)(1) of such section is amended— in the first sentence, by striking October 1, 2016, and ending on December 31, 2017, may not exceed $1,100,000,000 and inserting October 1, 2017, and ending on December 31, 2018, may not exceed $1,000,000,000 ; and in the second sentence, by striking October 1, 2016, and ending on December 31, 2017, may not exceed $900,000,000 and inserting October 1, 2017, and ending on December 31, 2018, may not exceed $800,000,000 .
