Section 942(e) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017 ( Public Law 114–328 ; 130 Stat. 2368) is amended— in paragraph (1), by striking December 1, 2017 and inserting July 1, 2018 ; and in paragraph (2), by striking June 1, 2017 and inserting March 1, 2018 . Section 942 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017 ( Public Law 114–328 ; 130 Stat. 2368) is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection: The Commission shall operate as a legislative advisory committee and shall not be subject to the provisions of the Federal Advisory Committee Act ( Public Law 92–463 ; 5 U.S.C.
App.) or section 552b of title 5, United States Code (commonly known as the Government in the Sunshine Act). .
