Sec. 1617. Sense of Congress on National Space Defense Center

It is the sense of Congress that— the National Space Defense Center is critical to defending and securing the space domain in order to protect all United States assets in space; integration between the intelligence community and the Department of Defense within the National Space Defense Center is essential to detecting, assessing, and reacting to evolving space threats; and the Department of Defense, including the military departments, and the elements of the intelligence community should seek ways to bolster integration with respect to space threats through work at the National Space Defense Center.
In this section, the term intelligence community has the meaning given that term in section 3(4) of the National Security Act of 1947 ( 50 U.S.C. 3003(4) ).
