Not later than 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Defense and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, in coordination with each commander of a combatant command, shall jointly submit to the appropriate congressional committees a report evaluating all operational and contingency plans to assess the implications for mission performance in the event of a loss or degradation of space capabilities of the United States (including with respect to space control) either through the loss or degradation of on-orbit assets or through the disabling of ground components. The report under subsection

In this section: The term appropriate congressional committees means the following: With respect to the full report under subsection (a), the Committees on Armed Services of the House of Representatives and the Senate.
