Subsection
(a)of section 1125 of subtitle B of title XI of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2017 ( Public Law 114–328 ) is amended by striking During fiscal years 2017 and 2018, and inserting During each of fiscal years 2017 through 2021, . Not later than 90 days after the end of each of fiscal years 2018 through 2021, the Secretary of Defense shall provide a briefing to the Committee on Armed Services of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform of the House of Representatives including— a description of the effect of such section 1125 (as amended by subsection (a)) on the management of the Department of Defense civilian workforce during the most recently ended fiscal year; and the number of employees— hired under such section during such fiscal year; and expected to be hired under such section during the fiscal year in which the briefing is provided.
