Sections 737 and 738 of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act ( 21 U.S.C. 739i ; 739j) shall cease to be effective October 1, 2022. Section 738A ( 21 U.S.C. 739j–1 ) of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (regarding reauthorization and reporting requirements) shall cease to be effective January 31, 2023. Effective October 1, 2017, section 207(a) of the Food and Drug Administration Safety and Innovation Act ( Public Law 112–144 ) is repealed.
