Section 204(a)(1) of the Trafficking Victims Protection Reauthorization Act of 2005 ( 34 U.S.C. 20705(a)(1) ) is amended— in subparagraph (D), by striking and at the end; in subparagraph (E), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following: as appropriate, to designate at least 1 prosecutor for cases of severe forms of trafficking in persons (as such term is defined in section 103(9) of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000 ( 22 U.S.C. 7102(9) ). .
