Section 306A(i) of the Consolidated Farm and Rural Development Act ( 7 U.S.C. 1926a(i) ) is amended— in paragraph (1), by striking subparagraph
(B)and inserting the following: Except as provided in clause (ii), funds reserved under subparagraph
(A)for a fiscal year shall be reserved only until July 1 of the fiscal year. In response to an eligible community where the drinking water supplies are inadequate due to a natural disaster, as determined by the Secretary, including drought or severe weather, the Secretary may provide potable water under this section for an additional period not to exceed 120 days beyond the established period otherwise provided under this section, in order to protect public health. ; and in paragraph (2), by striking $35,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2008 through 2018 and inserting $27,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2019 through 2023 .
