Section 3a of the Act of March 3, 1927 ( 7 U.S.C. 473a ), is amended— by redesignating subsection
(g)as subsection (h); and by inserting after subsection
(f)the following new subsection: Notwithstanding any other provision of law, employees hired to provide cotton classification services pursuant to this section may work up to 240 calendar days in a service year and may be rehired non-competitively every year in the same or a successor position if they meet performance and conduct expectations, as determined by the Secretary. .
