Section 16(g)(1) of the Food and Nutrition Act of 2008 ( 7 U.S.C. 2025(g)(1) ) (as amended by section 4110(a)(2)) is amended— in subparagraph (F), by redesignating clauses
(i)and
(ii)as subclauses
(I)and (II), respectively, and indenting appropriately; by redesignating subparagraphs
(A)through
(G)as clauses
(i)through (vii), respectively, and indenting appropriately; in the matter preceding clause
(i)(as so redesignated)— by striking paragraphs
(2)and
(3)and inserting paragraph
(2); and by striking in the planning and inserting the following: “in the— planning ; in clause
(v)(as so redesignated) of subparagraph
(A)(as so designated), by striking implementation, including through pilot projects in limited areas for major systems changes as determined under rules promulgated by the Secretary, data from which and inserting the following: implementation, including a requirement that— such testing shall be accomplished through pilot projects in limited areas for major systems changes (as determined under rules promulgated by the Secretary); each pilot project described in subclause
(I)that is carried out before the implementation of a system shall be conducted in a live-production environment; and the data resulting from each pilot project carried out under this clause ; and by adding at the end the following: operation of 1 or more automatic data processing and information retrieval systems that the Secretary determines may continue to be operated in accordance with clauses
(i)through
(vii)of subparagraph (A). .
