Section 1240 of the Food Security Act of 1985 ( 16 U.S.C. 3839aa ) is amended— in paragraph (3)— in subparagraph (B), by striking and at the end; and by adding at the end the following: adapting to, and mitigating against, increasing weather volatility; and ; and in paragraph (4)— by striking to make beneficial, cost effective changes to production systems (including conservation practices related to organic production) and inserting to address identified, new, or expected resource concerns associated with changes to production systems, including conservation practices related to organic production ; and by striking livestock, pest or irrigation management and inserting crops and livestock, pest management, irrigation management, drought resiliency measures .
