Section 2 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act ( 12 U.S.C. 1812 ) is amended— in subsection (a)(1), by striking 5 members and all that follows through 3 of whom and inserting the following: 5 members, who ; by amending subsection

(d)to read as follows: Any vacancy on the Board of Directors shall be filled in the manner in which the original appointment was made. ; and in subsection (f)— by striking paragraph (2); and by redesignating paragraph

(3)as paragraph (2).
