Section 9 of the Toxic Substances Control Act ( 15 U.S.C. 2608 ) is amended— in subsection (a)— in paragraph (1), in the first sentence— by striking presents or will present an unreasonable risk to health or the environment and inserting does not meet the safety standard ; and by striking such risk the first place it appears and inserting the risk posed by the substance or mixture ; in paragraph (2), in the matter following subparagraph (B), by striking section 6 or 7 and inserting section 6(d) or section 7 ; and in paragraph (3), by striking section 6 or 7 and inserting section 6(d) or 7 ; in subsection (d), in the first sentence, by striking Health, Education, and Welfare and inserting Health and Human Services ; and by adding at the end the following:
If the Administrator obtains information related to exposures or releases of a chemical substance that may be prevented or reduced under another Federal law, including laws not administered by the Administrator, the Administrator shall make such information available to the relevant Federal agency or office of the Environmental Protection Agency. .
