Section 1156 of the Water Resources Development Act of 1986 ( 33 U.S.C. 2310 ) is amended— in the section heading by inserting after and Indian tribes ; and territories in subsection (a)— by striking projects in American and inserting projects— in American ; by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following: for any Indian tribe (as defined in section 102 of the Federally Recognized Indian Tribe List Act of 1994 ( 25 U.S.C. 5130 )). .
