Section 1111(b)(2)(C)(vii) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 ( 20 U.S.C. 6311(b)(2)(C)(vii) ) is amended— by striking include other academic indicators and inserting include other college and career ready indicators ; and by striking such as achievement on and all that follows through the end of the clause and inserting such as— achievement on additional State or locally administered assessments; decreases in grade-to-grade retention rates; attendance rates and rates of chronic absenteeism; the number and percentage of students attaining recognized postsecondary credentials, as defined by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, while in secondary school; the number and percentage of students attaining State and local adjusted levels of performance, as defined in section 113(b) of the Carl D.
Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006, and reported by the State in a manner consistent with section 113(c) of such Act; measures that integrate preparation for postsecondary education and the workforce, including measures of performance in coursework sequences that include rigorous academics, work-based learning, and career and technical education; performance on assessments of career readiness; rates of enrollment, remediation, persistence, and completion of postsecondary education; and the number, percentage, and changes in the percentages of students completing gifted and talented, advanced placement, and college preparatory courses. .
Section 1111(h)(1)(D) of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 ( 20 U.S.C. 6311(h)(1)(D) ) is amended— in clause (vi), by striking and after the semicolon; in clause (vii), by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon; and by adding at the end the following: the number and percentage of students enrolled in each public secondary school in the State who attain State and local adjusted levels of performance, as defined in section 113(b) of the Carl D.
Perkins Career and Technical Education Act of 2006, and reported by the State in a manner consistent with section 113(c) of such Act; the number and percentage of students enrolled in each public secondary school in the State that attain a recognized postsecondary credential, as defined in section 3 of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act, while in secondary school; and for high schools— the high school graduation rate; and rates of enrollment, remediation, persistence, and completion of postsecondary education for students. .
