Section 100902 of title 54, United States Code, is amended— in subsection (a)(1)— in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by striking Under regulations and inserting Notwithstanding section 28 of the Mineral Leasing Act ( ; 30 U.S.C. 185 ), under regulations in subparagraph (B), by striking and at the end; in subparagraph (C), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following: natural gas pipelines. ; and in subsection (b)— in paragraph (1)— in subparagraph (B), by striking and at the end; in subparagraph (C), by striking the period at the end and inserting ; and ; and by adding at the end the following: natural gas pipelines. ; in paragraph (2), in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by striking A right of way under and inserting Except as provided in paragraph (5), a right-of-way granted under ; and by adding at the end the following:
Notwithstanding paragraph (2), a right-of-way granted under paragraph (1)(D) shall— be for a term of not more than 30 years; and not exceed 50 feet in width after construction of the natural gas pipeline. .
