Sec. 101. Plan for new production on Federal land in Alaska

Not later than 1 year after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary shall develop a plan that will result, by 2026, in an increase in production on Federal land in the State of Alaska of 500,000 barrels of oil per day. If the Secretary does not develop the plan under subsection
(a)by the deadline described in that subsection, the Secretary shall increase the acreage of land to which the State of Alaska is entitled under the Act of July 7, 1958 (commonly known as the Alaska Statehood Act ) (48 U.S.C. note prec. 21; Public Law 85–508 ) and other applicable Federal law by 1,000,000 acres. For each additional year for which the Secretary does not meet the deadline described in subsection (a), the Secretary shall increase the acreage of land described in paragraph
(1)by an additional 1,000,000 acres.
