Section 2(a) of the National Security Agency Act of 1959 ( 50 U.S.C. 3602(a) ) is amended by adding at the end the following: During any period that an individual is serving as the Director of the National Security Agency that individual may not serve as the commander of a unified combatant command (as defined in section 161(c) of title 10, United States Code). .
