Section 1705 of title 10, United States Code, is amended— in subsection (e)— in paragraph (1), by inserting and to develop acquisition tools and methodologies and undertake research and development activities leading to acquisition policies and practices that will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of defense acquisition efforts after workforce of the Department ; and in paragraph (4), by striking other than for the purpose of and all that follows through the period at the end and inserting “other than for the purposes of— providing advanced training to Department of Defense employees; developing acquisition tools and methodologies and performing research on acquisition policies and best practices that will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of defense acquisition efforts; and supporting human capital and talent management of the acquisition workforce, including benchmarking studies, assessments, and requirements planning. ; and in subsection (f), by striking Each report shall include and all that follows through the period at the end of paragraph (5).
Such section is further amended— in subsection (d)(2)(C), by striking in each and inserting in such ; in subsection (f)— by striking Not later than 120 days after the end of each fiscal year and inserting Not later than February 1 each year ; and by striking such fiscal year the first place it appears and inserting the preceding fiscal year ; and in subsection (g)(1)— by striking of of and inserting of ; and by striking , as defined in subsection (h), .
