Section 1413a(b)(3)(B) of title 10, United States Code, is amended by striking 2 and inserting ½ percent the retired pay percentage (determined for the member under section 1409(b) of this title) . The amendment made by subsection
(a)shall take effect on January 1, 2018, immediately after the coming into effect of the amendments made by part I of subtitle D of title VI of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2016 ( Public Law 114–92 ; 129 Stat. 842), to which the amendment made by subsection
(a)relates.
