Sec. 507. Length of joint duty assignments

Subsection
(a)of section 664 of title 10, United States Code, is amended by striking assignment— and all that follows and inserting assignment shall be not less than two years. . Such section is further amended by striking subsection (c). Subsection
(d)of such section is amended— in the matter preceding paragraph (1), by striking the standards prescribed in subsection
(a)and inserting the requirement in subsection
(a); in paragraph (1)(D), by striking assignment— and all that follows and inserting assignment as prescribed by the Secretary of Defense in regulations. ; by striking paragraph (2); by redesignating paragraph
(3)as paragraph (2); and in paragraph (2), as redesignated by paragraph
(4)of this subsection, by striking the applicable standard prescribed in subsection
(a)and inserting the requirement in subsection
(a). Such section is further amended by striking subsection (e). Subsection
(f)of such section is amended— in paragraph (1), by striking standards prescribed in subsection
(a)and inserting the requirement in subsection
(a); by striking paragraphs
(2)and (4); by redesignating paragraphs (3), (5), and
(6)as paragraphs (2), (3), and (4), respectively; and in paragraph (4), as redesignated by paragraph
(3)of this subsection, by striking , but not less than two years . Subsection
(h)of such section is amended— by striking
(1); by striking accord and inserting award ; and by striking paragraph (2). Such section is further amended— by redesignating subsections (d), (f), (g), and (h), as amended by this section, as subsections (c), (d), (e), and (f), respectively; in paragraph
(2)of subsection (c), as so redesignated and amended, by striking subsection (f)(3) and inserting subsection (d)(2) . paragraph
(2)of subsection (d), as so redesignated and amended, by striking subsection
(g)and inserting subsection
