Sec. 1257. Department of Defense State Partnership Program

Chapter 16 of title 10, United States Code, as added by section 1252(a)(3) of this Act, is amended by inserting after the table of sections at the beginning of subchapter IV a new section 341 consisting of— a heading as follows: ; and a text consisting of subsections
(a)through
(g)of section 1205 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2014 ( Public Law 113–66 ; 127 Stat. 897; 32 U.S.C. 107 note), as amended by section 1203 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2016 ( Public Law 114–92 ; 129 Stat. 1037). Section 341 of title 10, United States Code, as added by subsection (a), is amended— by striking subsection
(d)and inserting the following new subsection (d): This section shall be carried out in accordance with such regulations as the Secretary of Defense shall prescribe for purposes of this section. Such regulations shall include accounting procedures to ensure that expenditures of funds to carry out this section are accounted for and appropriate. ; in subsection (f)— by striking
(f)and all that follows through Reports and notifications .—
(B)and inserting the following: Matters to be included .— Not later than February 1 of each year following a fiscal year in which activities under each program established under subsection
(a)are carried out, the Secretary of Defense shall submit to the appropriate congressional committees a report on such activities under such program. ; and in paragraph (2), as redesignated by subparagraph
(A)of this paragraph— by redesignating clauses
(i)through
(vi)as subparagraphs
(A)through (F), respectively, and realigning the margin of each such subparagraph two ems to the left; and in subparagraph (F), as redesignated by clause
(i)of this subparagraph, by striking clause
(v)and inserting subparagraph
(E); and in subsection (g), by striking under title 10 and all that follows and inserting under title 10 as in effect on December 26, 2013. . Subsection
(b)of such section is amended— by striking
(b)and inserting the following: Limitation .—An activity An activity ; and by adding at the end the following new paragraph: The conduct of any activities under a program established under subsection
(a)shall be subject to the provisions of section 362 of this title. . Section 1205 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2014 ( Public Law 113–66 ; 127 Stat. 897; 32 U.S.C. 107 note) is repealed.
