Sec. 340. Women’s military service memorials and museums

The Secretary of Defense may provide not more than $5,000,000 in financial support for the acquisition, installation, and maintenance of exhibits, facilities, historical displays, and programs at military service memorials and museums that highlight the role of women in the military. The Secretary may enter into a contract with a non-profit organization for the purpose of performing such acquisition, installation, and maintenance. Of the funds authorized to be appropriated by section 301 for operation and maintenance, Army, and available for the National Museum of the United States Army, not more than $5,000,000 shall be provided, at the discretion of the Secretary of Defense, to carry out activities under subsection (a).
