Paragraph

(4)of section 1279(b) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2016 ( Public Law 114–92 ; 129 Stat. 1079; 22 U.S.C. 8606 note) is amended by striking $25,000,000 and inserting $50,000,000 . Paragraph

(3)of such section is amended by inserting before the period at the end the following: in the calendar year in which the support is provided . Of the amount contributed by the United States for activities under section 1279 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2016, not less than 50 percent of such amount shall be used in fiscal year 2017 for research, development, test, and evaluation activities for purposes of such section in the United States.
